Counting Sheep

Dear Portland,
It has been raining for real today. Pouring. All day. I can hear the rain out the roof and it's really loud because of the aluminum covers that are on the houses here (snow protection).

I keep forgetting to write to you and then remember as I am falling asleep, but am not going to wake myself up to write.

I have been having really bad insomnia for the past week and it is driving me crazy. I have a bunch of classes to teach and go to this week so hopefully I will get tired and fall asleep. It has been taking me twice as long to fall asleep lately. 2-3 hours. It's really getting on my nerves. And the evil dogs aren't even around...I am going to make myself go to sleep at 9 tomorrow so maybe I will be asleep my midnight...wish me luck.

Also, I seem to be stuck waiting for the 6th to come again so I can get groceries. Food seems to be more expensive here but maybe that's just because there is no Trader Joe's.

My friend John is coming to visit me in 2 weeks on his way out to Tennessee for the summer. I'm excited. I just hope the weather gets better so we can go fishing. I'm also just excited to see someone who knows me and I don't have to have that whole "getting to know you" phase, which it is really just a series of personal interviews.

Anyway, I'm going to get back into posting every night even if they are boring and of no consequence, like this. So the 3 people out of your 2 million relationships who read this Portland, are, in some way... satisfied?

G'night.

About Me

My photo
The Learning Curve of an Adult Child is singularly me. I suppose it's about the trials and tribulations involved in what "they" call being a grown-up. But maybe it's just about things that happen and things I think about... (Also, that is my computer generated pirate name) My other blog, [hap]hazard, is my best friend and I. We enjoy adventuring.
